28 Days Connection First Journey
Day 9, Sharing Motivation
It a beautiful day my dear friends,
A friend called me a few days ago and asked me about oak trees in my area. "What's so interesting about these trees?" I ask her. “The great capricorn beetle (Cerambyx cerdo) lives on and from the oaks, it is in danger of extinction, here in Switzerland. I was asked to find this beetle, and one of them was discovered near your home. They can fly up to 2 miles! ... ”
Since that call, I've been memorizing every oak tree in my neighborhood. Even my father jumped on the train and immediately went on a bike tour to track down oak trees. He reported to me that he found that the oaks on one side of the nearby river look more vital than on the other side. ...?
Shared Curiosity can get people moving. It is a wonderful way to connect.
Nature Exercise Part One:
1. Go your familiar ways, find a place you don't know yet. (Follow your curiosity).
2. Explore this place from a beginner's mind.
Second part:
3. Call someone you have wanted to call for a long time. Check in with each other. Ask your friend if he / she has time for a story and share your experience of how you followed your curiosity.
4. At the end of the conversation add: I would love to catch your “Story of Curiosity” should you find yourself curious and wanting to explore and share with me.
Journal Question:
Where did you look for the first time today?
What did you find there?
How did your friend react to your story?
Who told you a motivating story last?
When was the last time you spoke to this person?
Have fun exploring your surroundings.
Feel blessed with the spirit of a curiosed child.
Enjoy your explorations.
