28 Days Connection First Journey
Day 6, Deepening Story of the Day
Hello dear friends,
This exercise “story of the day” made me become a storyteller.
I love to tell stories when it's already dark around a campfire in front of a gang of children and adults. People's faces glow in the colors of fire.
The best stories come out, when I have experienced them myself, when I have already told them before and when I can tell them in the light of the fire. This embodied storytelling has, in my experience, an enchanting effect on the listeners.
Their open mouths and big eyes are like a magnets and almost suck the story out of me. I become the story. As if beamed back to the past moment, by a time machine, from this place I can tell all the details that have been going on around me without really having noticed them.
Anyone who has ever experienced this will know what I am talking about.
I myself love to hear stories. I can hang on every word of another telling a story and become a magnet for them.
Fun Exercise for you:
Experience nature time.
Reimagine the experience within you.
Tell the story to someone, preferably to someone who also does this exercise.
Now tell it with full body experience.
Enjoy
Dear parents, be a raw model and tell the stories first. Pack all your senses into the story and have fun.
Ideas for the journal:
Were you able to experience the story within you?
How did people react to your story?
How many times have you shared your story?
Did you notice something while telling the story that you didn't really remember?
