28 Days Connection First Journey
Day 1
Guten Tag meine Lieben Freunde.
Good day my dear friends. ;-)
We will be awakening the senses as a foundation for all the days ahead using a practice called a sense meditation.
Over the many years we spent with people outside in nature, we noticed that there are certain patterns that support us to have a deeper exchange with people and nature.
One of the most important tools that have helped us to enable this deep exchange is to activate our senses. This can be done as a guided meditation or with a practice of quiet time routines incorporating sense-meditation-related activities such as bird language awareness. How I like to do it with the kids is playing hide and seek, as Jon says. After counting, just wait a little longer, shout out a few phrases, just to let some time pass so that the children (and adults) can themselves grow into their hiding place longer. At this time they will naturally practice awakening senses. I love the faces of the pedestrians walking by when I tell them that I am currently in the forest with a horde of children and they don't hear or see a single one. They all melted into the earth, grown into a tree or turned into an owl. They sit on the tree with big ears and listen to the conversation with a smile.
Such simple little games in and with nature help us to connect. Nature helps to rebuild our connection possibilities or to even maintain them from the children.
Remember the time when you felt whole, comfortable, and satisfied, now greet yourself into this state.
Can you feel the difference? From now on, greet yourself and the children and other people from this “whole being”.
I invite you to write your personal highlight of today into your notebook.
I invite you to keep some notes in your journal, which birds you heard or saw today. Something you notice about it. Color, shape, location or sound of it. You may know the names, otherwise just describe them. Or paint the bird.
Have fun.
We look forward to hearing from you. Leave us a message in the forum.

May your day be filled with wonderful experiences and tingling senses.
Dearest greetings,
Michi & Jon.
Yay for the sense meditation in the rain! So sweet to be under a young coast redwood listening to the junkos, the titmouse, and the wren singing out to a budding alder, and the ivy covered banks of the little creek. Why isn't the little junko on her nest?
I really can recommend painting. I had a big resistance earlier in my life and avoided to paint. As a christmas present I got some watercolours and it is just fun to put down some paint. Often it is not recognizable what I painted (at least for others;), but I'm getting better and it is just fun. Aaron Blaise (creator of Lion King movie at Disney) use to say: With colour you can bring even more beauty into the world. Have fun outthere!
